Abgoosht

Abgoosht is a traditional Iranian broth. It is also called Dizi which gets its name from the stone pots that are used for serving Abgoosht. The original recipe only had meat and chickpeas in it and then through times other ingredients were added to the recipe.

How is it served?

Special custom for serving Dizi is to first pour the broth in a bowl and soak some small pieces of Persian bread in it. Then the remaining ingredients like potatoes, beans, chickpeas and meat are mashed up and served separately.
