Once you arrive in Iran, no matter where you are, you can purchase this card and receive it right away. What identification documents do I need to apply for a Iran Travel Card?
With your name, email address, residence country and mobile phone number you can apply for an Iran Travel Card. After verifying your phone number, you can log into your DARIC account. For profile completion we need your identity info, address data, and the scan of your passport’s first page.
Am I charged extra for cash withdrawals or recharges?
No, there is no charge placed for cash withdrawal. For recharging your card, if you choose the cash method there is no extra fee included. For online recharges there is around 2-3% Transfer fee.
How many withdrawals can I make in a day?
There is no limit for the times of withdrawals. But, you can withdraw 2,000,000 IRR (approximately 50 Euros) per day.
Is there any Top-up limit?
Yes. The sum of the account top-up values should always be less than 10,000 EUR. Any incoming money transfer violating this condition would not be accepted.
What do I do if my card is lost or stolen?
Go to the card menu in DARIC app (or website) and block your card. You can also block your card by calling our support team or going to the branches of the issuer bank.
What do I do with the money left on my card after my trip?
There are 2 options with your remained money:
You can buy EUR, USD, etc. from all of the exchange offices in Iran (Even at exchange office in IKA)
We can transfer it to your account by PayPal or with IBAN number, it has only 1~2% transfer fee
How long will it take for my card to arrive?
You can arrange the time before hand and receive your card based on it.
What should I do if the salesperson asks me for the PIN?
In Iran, it is usual if the salesperson asks for the PIN. However, you can always ask them gently to let you enter the PIN yourself, and they will let you do so.
How can I track the History of my payments on Iran Travel Card?
Your last three transactions are always shown to you in the bottom section of the app’s landing page. You can also access your full transaction history simply by going to the “Transaction History” section of the app/website. various filters are designed for your convenience.
Can I use my Iran Travel Card at ATMs and POS devices?
Yes, all you need to do is to swipe the card, enter the amount in IRR (if it is not automatically entered) and then enter your PIN. You can choose the English Language for the process at ATM devices.
Is my Iran Travel Card usable for online purchases?
Currently, the Daric Cards issued for non-residents cannot be used for online purchases. However, you can use your DARIC account credentials to purchase online wherever DARIC is accepted as a payment method. This mainly includes tourism-related service providers, such as hotels and airlines. On some cases the CVV2 code is needed for confirmation.
